D Sonic slays in this comparison, both clean and dirty. It's clearer AND heavier. The bottom end is more articulate and there's more of it. The SD bottom is like the woof of a low quality subwoofer compared to the musical low end of the D Sonic.

@thatcoolG A general rule of thumb is to put your modulation devices after your distortion. In your case, since you're deriving distortion from the preamp, your best choice would be to put it in the effects loop (after the preamp!). Try both and see, but my guess is that you'll enjoy the effect...
