From the way it was moving at first, if the front [steered] axle had been in a straight line with the rears, that would have probably got itself out. As the steering was on lock it was trying to bury itself in the side of the ruts!

Would like to know what hapened here. I'd also say that a couple of Scammell Contractors [40 tons unladen weight, 240+ GTW with 50 ton winches as standard] would soon have it sorted!!! The blue and white tractor would pull better if he'd straighten the steering!!
