Stating that falling prices is good and rising prices is bad is the first sign of ignorance. Falling prices are met with lowered wages since firms earn less and compensate their employees less, real prices does not actually fall.

The chairman was referring to inflation in recent years, not for the period of time you're referring to. Also, you're only looking at one side of the story, wages have also risen with the devalued dollar.

I'll answer your question on what type of evidence can be used to persuade me that god exists. Basically, any form of evidence besides testimonial will suffice. Empirical evidence would definitively prove the existence of a god but such evidence clearly does not exist.
