Obedience to authority results in shared psychology. Aspiring to be said authority makes you a force to be obeyed. Questioning authority is anathema, lest it be proven beyond doubt. Oppression of dissent is necessary to control instinctual forces. Religious like faith in what you know to "be good" requires dismissal of broken eggs required to make the omelet.

Self justification is required for a strong successful ego. Don't ever let your right hand know what your left is doing. Rigorous honest with yourself on these matters will free your mind, but don't listen to me or anyone else. What is your highest truth
