About this user

I was born in Pittsburgh April 26, 1991. In the summer on 2007 I decided to play piano seriously after being self taught. I took two months of lessons by Elizabeth Burnett during June-August before changing schools to one in Israel.

Once in Israel it took me a while to find a teacher and a place to practice, but I stumbled upon a goldmine. I continued to learn piano starting December of 07 at the Conservatory of Music in Be'er Sheva, Israel by Illana Zalka-Rubinstien.

On December 8, 2009, I was able to participate in a Baroque and Jazz festival for ages around 8 to 18. It took place at the Conservatory of Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.

On December 15, 2009 I participated in a competition in Ashdod, Israel. I didn't win, but it was a great experience seeing all the other people in my age group play. It made me realize that 2 years was just not close to the 5-10 years they had on me. It was an experience that changed me for the better.

On June 14, 2010 I had my last recital in the Conservatory of Be'er Sheva. I will miss the conservatory and all of the teachers and friends I made there. I will definitely miss my piano teacher for how much she has taught me about the many different styles and techniques to play the piano.

I will be moved back to America, after graduation and finals...
