About Me:

A 501(C)(3) that financially supports cancer patients and their families. Founded by former Yankees catcher, John Ellis, in 1987. Sports celebrities of old and today partner with CSF in its work.

Cancer endangers more than just the life of the victim it inflicts. For hard-working individuals, their fight with cancer all too often becomes an insurmountable burden while providing for their families. Through recipient grants, CSF helps pay monthly mortgage payments/rents/utilities as well as providing funds for food, medications, gas, and transportation to and from hospitals and/or treatment centers for patients and their families.

Referred to us by dedicated oncology social workers from Connecticut hospitals, hospices, and cancer treatment centers, each CSF applicant is thoroughly screened by these professionals.

Each year, CSF also designates a grant to aid the pioneering Dr. Joachim Yahalom in his research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
