I live in the great state of Missouri wich was on of the 12 states that made up the Confederacy even though the union did not reconize it as a Confederate state the Confederacy did and Missouri then secceded on October 31, 1861 almost all of the wins in Missouri were Confederate wins and Missouri's goverment had many pro Confederate people such as the Govener so all in all their was more Confederate actions taken in Missouri then Union ones so i am proud to have been born and raised in my Dixie state of Missouri.

Here is a quick summary of what made the states that made up the Confederacy secced from the Union-

The Confederate States Of America Were formed not out of hatred toward any one race or religion, but becuse of the actions of the Union over a high terrif called the Morill tarrif wich was the highest one ever to be passed till then in the history of the United States that forced many Southerners into bankrupcy on top of that the tariff was passed through even with the South voting no to it showing how the North was not representing the South in Congress so when they legally withdrew from the union under the Decleration of Independence and tried to form there own country what did the union do declare war on them in order to be able to collect their tax that is what started the civil war.

Not slavery, in fact only about 6 percent of the south owned slaves at the time of the outbreak of the Civil War.

That was merely a coverup used by Lincon to try and hide the real reason behind the war.

WHEREAS, the Government of the United States, in possession and under control of the sectional party, has wantonly violated the compact originally made between said government and the State of Missouri, by invading with hostile armies the soil of the State, attacking and making prisoners the militia whilst legally assembled under the State laws, forcibly occupying the State capital, and attempting, through the instrumentality of domestic traitors, to usurp the State government, seizing and destroying private property, and murdering with fiendish malignity peaceable citizens, men, women, and children, together with other acts of atrocity, indicating a deep settled hostility toward the people of Missouri and their institutions; and

WHEREAS, the present administration of the government of the United States has utterly ignored the Constitution, subverted the government as constructed and intended by its makers, and established a despotic and arbitrary power instead thereof, Now, therefore,

Be it enacted by the general assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:

That all political ties of every character now existing between the government of the United States of America and the people and government of the State of Missouri, are hereby dissolved, and the State of Missouri, resuming the sovereignty granted by compact to the United States upon admission of said State into the Federal Union, does again take its place as a free and independent republic amongst the nations of the earth.

This act to take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
