MotorLessons(at)Hotmail(dot)com

In 2005, Harris, a certified police motor instructor, wrote a booklet of lessons designed to be a self-study course "civilian" riders could use to improve. It's available (free) by e-mailing at the above address.

Over the years a small group has really stuck with the program, and now we get together for live training, and to ride together. All of the riders in these videos started out as "average" riders with an intense desire to improve. Development of the skills is not easy, but it is certainly possible. Even if a rider doesn't get to the point that they're doing the "keyhole" or "180 decel", improvement results in riding being more fun, and most importantly safer.

These videos are of the group an show the riders at various points in their progress. You CAN ride like this. Do you WANT to?

I practice Harris' s lessons every spring as soon as I bring the bike out. Been doing it for about 4 or 5 yrs, but I never seem to get past lesson 1.
Thanks for helping us all become better riders.

Great channel. Thank you for posting.

Well, there's no question about it now. These exercises can be done with abslutely no braking at all if one has mastered the clutch friction zone.

Any dope can twist a throttle in a straight line, slow speed skills are where its at! I ride Japanese standard cycles, and it can be even more challenging with them IMHO, since most are most have a higher COG. Its fun no matter what cycle you have! Youd be surprised how clumsy most people are even in a simple Uturn! Love your channel, I would really like it if you had downloadable diagrams for the exact specs and descriptions for all the exercises.

Okay, I am determined to master these exercises...I tried that 2x4 exercise after work yesterday. It is not easy at all. It is going to take some practice to get it down...
