About Ireland-Shireby Church Organs
The current organ being rebuilt in our workshop is a Jackson of Lincoln (UK) instrument with tracker (mechanical) action. We bought the instrument in 2008 when re-ordering of the Burton Road Methodist Church in Lincoln (UK) forced the instrument to look for a new home.
Built by the Lincon firm of Jackson in the 1890's, it was first installed in a Methodist chapel in the town of Grantham. In 1908, the organ was moved to it's lincoln location, where it was used for 100 years.
The organ is now being rebuilt & restored in our custom built pipe organ workshop & will eventually be offered for sale.
The Conacher organ shown in some of the videos is now finished & available for sale. We have another 8 instruments in stock awaiting restoration, including a Bishop instrument which is also currently in the workshop, but not yet playable.
