It could have been but the problem with power is that it goes to just about everybody's heads. How often do you find a fit as leader with as good of intentions as say Lenin? Not very often. To be honest i have not met anybody who calls themselves socialist or communist that really supports the type of dictators like Kim Jong Il. So the "we are communist so we must support anyone who calls themselves communist or is hated by the west" type thing is only on youtube. I have not met anyone who calls themselves Stalinist though i have met Maoist's. The majority that ive met seem to be the Luxemburgist types but they generally don't label themselves which i find kind of stupid anyway. Why should i confine myself just to right communism or left communism? Also since i agree with many anarcho-communist ideals i call myself a anarcho-communist or just a communist. The stalinists are just constipated assholes living in the past.
