Communism is a militant atheistic ideology created to justify the overthrow of free market economies replacing them with a "dictatorship of the proletariat".
Under Communism private ownership and other ancient rights are abolished in favor of the concentration of power in the hands of a central committee (oligarchy). The leader of the committee has the same powers as a dictator.
Typically freedom of speech, press, movement, assembly, and the right to bear arms are ruthlessly suppressed. This suppression takes the form of deportation, slavery, imprisonment, forced starvation and death.
Communist claims of being a "classless society" are untrue, in actuality the political elite enjoy a standard of living many time higher than the average citizen.
