Thanks for the pm Mac. It's still only been 24 hours--this is harder than I thought. Our 10 year old is having his first experience with loss. Yesterday was hard for him and my attention was on talking and entertaining and helping him deal. He seems better today, Dane works and sleeps, our older son is off with friends in another state, it will really hit him when he is back (he did say good bye on the phone, held it up to Blitzy's ear)...but me? I am sadder than sad today, my heart is broken. I will pull it together but I am letting myself grieve right now. I will never have a dog again. This is way too hard. ( Blitzen was 12, turns out he was lying about his age, we thought he was around 10)
