THE CHARTER FOR COMPASSION
A call to bring the world together
The principle of compassion lies at the heart of all religious, ethical and spiritual traditions, calling us always to treat all others as we wish to be treated ourselves. Compassion impels us to work tirelessly to alleviate the suffering of our fellow creatures, to dethrone ourselves from the centre of our world and put another there, and to honour the inviolable sanctity of every single human being, treating everybody, without exception, with absolute justice, equity and respect.
It is also necessary in both public and private life to refrain consistently and empathically from inflicting pain. To act or speak violently out of spite, chauvinism, or self-interest, to impoverish, exploit or deny basic rights to anybody, and to incite hatred by denigrating others—even our enemies—is a denial of our common humanity. We acknowledge that we have failed to live compassionately and that some have even increased the sum of human misery in the name of religion.
We therefore call upon all men and women ~ to restore compassion to the centre of morality and religion ~ to return to the ancient principle that any interpretation of scripture that breeds violence, hatred or disdain is illegitimate ~ to ensure that youth are given accurate and respectful information about other traditions, religions and cultures ~ to encourage a positive appreciation of cultural and religious diversity ~ to cultivate an informed empathy with the suffering of all human beings—even those regarded as enemies.
We urgently need to make compassion a clear, luminous and dynamic force in our polarized world. Rooted in a principled determination to transcend selfishness, compassion can break down political, dogmatic, ideological and religious boundaries. Born of our deep interdependence, compassion is essential to human relationships and to a fulfilled humanity. It is the path to enlightenment, and indispensible to the creation of a just economy and a peaceful global community.

Le racisme est un fléau...
Trop de larmes ont coulé...
Trop de haine projetée...
Trop de sang versé... Parce que la haine engendre la haine...
Parce que ça ne mène à rien...
Parce qu'il y en a marre des insultes...
Parce qu'il nous est arrivé de haïr la couleur de notre peau...
Un arc-en-ciel n'est pas composé que d'une couleur !
Il faut de tout pour faire un monde...
Parce qu'on peut s'appeller Marie, Jessica, Jason ou Ludovic et s'apprécier...
Parce qu'on peut être chinois, portugais ou tunisien et être amis...
Si seulement, on pouvait réduire à néant ce fléau !!
Pour que jamais, nos enfants ne pleurent à cause de la couleur de leur peau !
Et parce qu'au final, noir, jaune ou blanc, nous sommes TOUS humains !!

Ce intelegi prin ''rasism''? Ai o definitie clara a termenului, sau il folosesti la modul popular, asa cum era folosit termenul de ''eretic'' pe vremuri si, mai nou, cel de ''nazist'' ?
Ar fi bine sa fii sigur despre ce vorbesti,inainte sa vorbesti.
Faptul ca eu nu vreau sa fiu asociata cu o etnie anume tine de realitatea faptului ca eu pur si simplu nu apartin de acea etnie.
Nu am nici un motiv si nici o obligatie - legala sau morala - de a-mi asuma originile, caracteristicile si/sau insusirile etniei tiganesti atat timp cat eu nu apartin la ea.
Daca asta este ceea ce numesti ''rasism'', atunci esti intr-o grava eroare.
Si tiganii din Ungaria, Bulgaria, Serbia, Ukraina, etc sunt vazuti la fel de rau, dar sunt intr-un numar cu MULT mai mic decat cei din Romania. Cu o populatie de 22 de milioane de locuitori, Romania este cea mai mare tara din zona est-centrala si sudica a Europei, iar procentul de tigani pe care i-am ''livrat'' catre Europa de este a fost cu mult mai mare decat al oricarei alte tari. Ca raspuns la intrebarea ta semi-retorica, ti-as raspunde ca e o simpla chestiune de ''cantitate'' si nu de ''calitate''. Fiind 2 tigani bulgari sau unguri la 8 romani, primii trec ''neobservati''.
Ti-as sugera sa te interesezi de rata criminalitatii tiganesti din Bulgaria sau Sebia de exemplu, si chiar din Ungaria.Ai putea ramane uimit.
Asta era si ideea - a mea si a altor romani care si-au prezentat punctul de vedere in acord cu dreptul fundamental la libera exprimare, acelasi drept de care a facut abuz Alan Caligiuri asociind numele unui popor cu cel al unei etnii si cu al criminalitatii implicite asociate acesteia.
