I grew up having to learn Irish through this. My most vivid memory is my school's one and only TV somehow catching fire while we were watching it.

@jedichik I've never played the game, but I agree with you about the music. Orchestral themes are pretty standard in RPGs today, but even by today's standards this is incredibly sophisticated. Reminds me more of Tchaikovsky than Uematsu.

My most vivid memory related to this theme:

1. Get in airship, take off.

2. Turn EVER SO SLIGHTLY northeast.

3. Fly in a straight line for 25 minutes.

4. Fight Doomgaze, swear like a sailor when he runs away.

5. Repeat until you're sick of Searching For Friends.

I don't have one favourite game, but here's a few: Final Fantasy 6, 7 and 9, Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, Shadow of the Colossus, Pokémon G/S/C, Goldeneye, Super Mario 64 and Smackdown: Here Comes The Pain.

I love this theme, but saying you like it is like saying you like The Beatles: so does everyone else. There's nothing left to say about it.

I missed my first IT lecture this year, which meant I had to do two assignments in one 40-minute class to catch up. I had this theme in my head the whole time I was blitzing through them. I got them done with seconds to spare, and I felt like a fucking hero.

This was my first FF too. I put this theme on my iPod, not because it's the best in the game (it most certainly isn't the best part of such a brilliant soundtrack), but because it's the one I probably heard most often in the game. Instant nostalgia.

@Enigma5469 I kind of agree; if your first impression of any promotion comes from Botchamania, you'll assume the promotion is made up entirely of people who can't wrestle or talk. It's like what Maffew said about Sabu: "Botchamania makes good wrestlers look like bad wrestlers."

As a wrestling fan, I don't mind having to suspend my disbelief, or (when watching TNA) lowering my expectations somewhat. After all, not every show is going to be a classic. But exactly how much pride and taste do you have to swallow to be a CZW fan?

@94weisse They were THE best band of the 90's. And the 2000's (we'll pretend Lifeblood just didn't happen). With any luck, they'll be the best band of the 2010's too.
