Cheap constructed newer rigs. A pre 2000 suburban/tahoe could of taken out that post with far less damage.

Its also a good idea to apply some kind of polisher/protectant to the headlights after doing this. But yeah ive been using tooth paste on all my cars and it does work! Keep in mind It wont work if there is hard water damage to the lens or the build-up is inside.
