About this user
Paul and Brian began their dancing journey twelve years ago while growing up in the inner city of the south Bronx. The youngest of four siblings, they worked together to form Double Up Dance Group, ("Double Up"). From an early age, dancing played a major role in their lives. Their dancing style was influenced by great entertainers and a strong Caribbean background. Their energizing, versatile moves and their captivating stage presence helped them get noticed within their community and soon after by an industry which would give them an opportunity of a lifetime.
Double Up's experience has varied from local talent and fashion shows and community events to back up dancing, music videos, instructing, commercials and modeling. In addition, Double Up is well know for leading seminars for young students through a program they established called "Move to Succeed." Double Up has had the opportunity to perform across the US, Virgin Islands and in Europe. Some of their most notable experiences include the following:
- Opening for Flava Flav & DJ Spynfo on their first college tour
- Working with Donnie Klang and Day 26 member Willie aka "Lucky" on various performances.
Working with acclaimed choreographer, Tanisha Scott on:
- Kat Deluna's music video, "Whine Up" featuring Elephant Man
- Eve's music video, "Give it to You" featuring Sean Paul
-Tanisha Scott specifically chose Double Up to collaborate on choreographing and performing for Alicia Key's performance at the 2007 American Music Awards.
- Performing for the 2008 Russian Olympic Team in Moscow, Russia
- Serani music video " No Games"
- Reebok Commercial " Your Move"
In January of 2008, Double Up began touring with International GMB/Sony Epic recording artist Kat Deluna on her US and International tour. While on tour with Kat they accompanied her during a guest performance at the Chris Brown " Up Close and Personal " tour at the Zenith in Paris, France. In addition, Double Up performed with Kat at the Kat Deluna and Rhianna concert at the Nokia Theatre in New York, New York. Also while in Paris Double Up had the opportunity to perform with Kat at the " Fete De La Musique " in front of a sold out crowd of 15,000 viewers. In the summer of 2007 Vox, a German television station filmed Double Up for the documentary, "Auf Und Davon," translated as "Come On Let's Go." Lastly, Double Up was featured in Reebok's, "Your Move" ad campaign commercial.
When asked by a "Rap Fanatic" magazine reporter what has contributed to Double Up's success over the years the group mentioned, The number one reason would be our drive and determination to be successful in this industry. We love what we do and dancing is a great way of expressing ourselves and it also gives us an opportunity to work in an environment we feel very confident in."
In June of 2008 Double Up took their passion to another level by opening Double Up Dance Group LLC. Their education, knowledge and experience over the years have helped them establish a growing dance company in which they now have the opportunity of applying what they have learned over the years. While Double Up's accomplishments continue to flourish as they pursue their passion, they never lose sight of their long term goal of opening a dance studio of their own so they can give back to motivated students like themselves.

Interests
When we are not in the studio working on our moves or even on stage performing we are either working out in the gym, chilling with our friends, running, balling, focusing on school, or even just relaxing. One of our favorite pass-times is doing community service in the local inner city schools. In these class sessions we talk about our experience growing up in the inner city and how we found dancing to be one of the best ways to express ourselves. We also mention our goals/plans for the future and in the end lead the class in a dance demonstration of what we do best. When we are on vacation we visit our family in the West Indies on islands such as Jamaica, St. Lucia, and Bermuda just to name a few.
