Issues of sustainability have concerned me all my life. The first thing I ever wanted to be was a Forest Ranger (that was before my first camping trip though -- another story). I'm still interested in conservation of nature, together with the long-term viability issues facing us now in regards to peak oil/coal/uranium, global warming, solar, wind, wave, hydro, geothermal & tidal energy. Finding new forms of energy is and will continue to be an exciting and ever evolving field, one which will take all of humanity into as yet unforeseen realms of economic and social development.

Sustainability doesn't just mean energy use, it also refers to many other areas of life, like emotional, physical, mental realms for the individual and for social, economic, political/religious realms for groups of people.
