About this user
I am a non-denominational daughter of the King, who says with earnest, Christians are not intellectually challenged ;-p
In the true American spirit, I would lay my life down for the Love of a friend although I've been let down time and time again by those that I placed my trust in ...
I appreciate and respect and will treat with dignity all those of various faiths as long as they do not harm another. It's interesting to note that the teachings of Christ seem to evoke such volcanic eruptions of rude, arrogant and outright vulgar dissertations at times ... I no more will address recalcitrant ramblings from non-believers, any more than I would from certain 'so-called' followers who spew hate and discontent and are a poor witness of that which those of the faith are, or should be, really all about ... believe or don't believe - that is your choice and I've more than once embarked on intelligent conversation about why and what I believe in; reciprocal respect is appreciated and will be treated with the dignity it deserves. I will not condone radicalism by anyone of any faith. You can blame religion if you want, but the real enemy is that which lives within, and one that uses religion as an excuse where power, greed, and control are the true evils which start wars and plague the world.
It's not rhetoric when I say, It's all about Love!
1 Corinthians 13 (NASB)
"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."
John 15:9-14 (NASB)
"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command."
"If the fires of freedom and civil liberties burn low in other lands, they must be made brighter in our own. If in other lands the press and books and literature of all kinds are censored, we must redouble our efforts here to keep them free." (Franklin Delano Roosevelt)

For the record, I don't buy into 99% of conspiracy theories. 9/11 was NOT an inside job, Jesus did NOT marry nor have any children, and a current day Illuminati is utterly unbelievable. Do big business and some of the associated families run the world? Very Likely, and I believe the arguments in many ways they do is factual. Not necessarily a conspiracy, simply power and greed - the same reason countries go to war. Psychology speaks to why conspiracy theorists believe what they do. I think it would be beneficial for people to research those aspects and spare me and other free thinking public the rhetoric.
