Bio. How to make it interesting. How to make it good. CLo is a nut, cracked open in Toronto, Canada from loving Italian parents. She loooooves languages and learning about people and these interests drive her to write inspiring songs and create beautiful music. She writes for signed and unsigned artists and also for her own professional career. CLo is a hustler and already on her fourth album self-titled, Clara Lofaro and released by SLo Records. She has a talent for singing, songwriting and, with that contagious SMILE, she's sure reaping successes from her positive work. CLo is using her new single and video, Just Smile to launch the Smileconfessions.com interactive website campaign where she and her team will be collecting thousands of smiles from around the world.

The 2010 release of the self-titled, Clara Lofaro album promises to be the breakthrough record of this talented artist's career. Skillfully produced by Anthony Resta (Collective Soul, Shawn Mullins, Duran Duran), Robert L. Smith (Lady Gaga, U2, David Bowie, Billy Joel) and Harold Stephan.

CLo says she awakened a new songwriting voice from within on this new album by telling other people's stories, both imagined and real. She's also been able to express her heritage and love of languages by giving us a taste of some Italian sprinkled throughout the album. What do you get? A strong, soulful voice atop an eclectic poppy album that makes you wanna shake your thang and hug the person sitting next to you on the subway. She delivers this while still being honest and not totally air-brushed. She loves life and music with the cracks and all, saying "it's more interesting that way."

CLo currently resides in NYC via Boston where she studied at Berklee College of Music on scholarship. She won six Toronto Music Awards for her last album, Perfekt World and partnered with Action Against Hunger, an international humanitarian organization who's mission is to eliminate malnutrition as a disease around the world. Perfekt World was produced by Mark Turrigiano, (Ingrid Michaelson's Boys and Girls).

The success of Perfekt World opened many eyes and ears across the music industry and led to opening spots on sold-out shows for Duncan Sheik, Anna Nalick, Jeffrey Gaines, and Emerson Hart in 2008 alone. In addition, Lofaro landed an in-studio performance on New York City's Fresh 102.7FM, where she performed an acoustic version of Rihanna's, Please Don't Stop the Music. It was played in regular rotation on their program, Acoustic Sunrise.

What came before that? The release of her sophomore album, Black + Blue Pearl, brought Lofaro to side stage acoustic performances with Stevie Nicks and OAR at Jones Beach on Long Island, and the Bamboozle Festival at Giants Stadium. An audience voted her second favorite at a Fresh 102.7 outdoor concert featuring Edwin McCain, Kimberly Locke and many others.

Clara was heard by her largest audience ever when she sang for tens of millions of people in 2006 and 2007 when she sang "When You Wish Upon a Star" in the Disney Super Bowl commercials featuring the Pittsburgh Steelers and Indianapolis Colts.

Clara Lofaro is the tiny powerhouse we all know and love. She's never boring, definitely worth listening to, and the next artist you should adding to your iPod.
