About this user

Who I am? Just another big movie geek/collector. Has been so ever since I was a little kid. I grew up on movies such as the original Star Wars trilogy, the Indiana Jones trilogy, James Bond, Walt Disney, Jaws, E.T., Alien, Blade Runner, The Thing, Die Hard, Once Upon a Time in the West, and many others.

Simply put, movies are my life. It's the perfect form of escapism. Just forget about your worries and your realities for a couple of hours and let yourself drawn into the wonderful world of cinema. There's nothing better than that.

If you ask me what kinds of films I like to watch, I would say everything. I enjoy watching a lovely Gene Kelly musical as much as I enjoy watching an extreme Takashi Miike splatterfest.

I started collecting movies on VHS, but at the end of 1999, DVD came into my life and I was completely sold. The very first movie I ever saw on the Digital Versatile Disc was the great Ray Harryhausen classic "Jason and the Argonauts." I loved the movie (still does, actually), but I loved this technology even more.

In the summer of 2007 when I purchased the PlayStation 3, it's the Blu-ray Disc that has captured my main interest. But that does not mean I have given up on DVDs. There are still many great titles available on DVD that will probably never see the light of day on Blu-ray.
