Tan altos y firmes como la Sierra Maestra son hoy la vergüenza, la dignidad y el valor del pueblo de Cuba en esta monstruosa concentración frente a este Palacio, hoy revolucionario, del pueblo de Cuba.

Tan alto como el Pico invencible del Turquino, es hoy y será siempre el apoyo de este pueblo cubano a la Revolución que se hizo para este pueblo cubano.

Se demuestra esta tarde que no importan las traiciones arteras y cobardes que puedan hacer a este pueblo y a esta Revolución, que no importa que vengan aviones mercenarios tripulados por criminales de guerra y amparados por intereses poderosos del gobierno norteamericano, porque aquí hay un pueblo que no se deja confundir por los traidores; aquí hay un pueblo que no le teme a la aviación mercenaria () Porque sabemos que este pueblo cubano no se dejará confundir por las campañas hechas por los enemigos de la Revolución, porque el pueblo cubano sabe que por cada traidor que surja habrá mil soldados rebeldes que estén dispuestos a morir defendiendo la libertad y la soberanía que conquistó este pueblo

Porque para detener esta Revolución cubanísima tiene que morir un pueblo entero, y si esto llegara a pasar serían una realidad los versos de Bonifacio Byrne: Si desecha en menudos pedazos/ se llega a ver mi bandera algún día/ ¡nuestros muertos alzando los brazos/ la sabrán defender todavía!
