Well for starters when I was a child I had a rare disease that caused constant winking. The other children would take advantage of it and ask me questions and when I would wink they would say I meant the opposite. They would also accuse me of constantly flirting. I eventually grew out of it but I still have the habit of saying the opposite of what I really mean so that's a bit awkward at times, like my boyfriend asked me to marry him and I said no... yeah... really awkward.
