lol! This song seemed so fascinating and risque to me when it came out when I was a kid but, as dirty as it is, the lyrics are just really silly. Don't ever try to use the phrase "private parts" in a sexy way. Doesn't work. hehe

Have they written out the fact that it's Uriah who is behind Betsy's losses or are they going to reveal that later? Betsy would never go lose all her money in bad investments. I hate what they've done with her character.

At this point in the story, the main villain is Uriah, so I don't know why they feel the need to exaggerate the roles of the Murdstones so much. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

@renai0304 Can't say I agree with the characterization of Betsy in the book as a "stuck in her ways, eccentric, silly biddy." Eccentric maybe, but she was also the wisest, most stable adult figure in David's life and we're meant to have a lot of respect for her, like David does.

Creakle is supposed to not be able to talk above a wheezing whisper (hence his name.) He has that sidekick that shouts out everything he says for him (dark comedy gold!). I can't believe they left out such a key part of his character
