I believe the bible is 100% true. I believe 75% of the bible is a metaphor.

What I believe:

God is omnipotent
God limits himself
God limits himself in 3 ways
-God cannot break his laws of physics
-God cannot directly reveal himself
-God cannot control free will

God speaks to us through signs, dreams, and hallucinations.

Genesis 1:24 is the result of natural selection

Isaiah 40:22 says the world is round; There's no word for sphere in hebrew.

Deuteronomy 1:17 is the definition of rule of law.

Deuteronomy 15:15 tells Israelites to have ethical and human rights for servants.

Deuteronomy 17:15 says to only choose a leader born in their nation; Like the requirement to be president being native born.

Deuteronomy 22:5 indirectly says transexuals are detestable to God.

Deuteronomy 22:22-29 goes over rape.

The book of Leveticus gives medicinal advice that was rediscovered 6000 years later.

Time in the bible is a metaphor.

The divine numbers in the bible are 7, 12, and 40.

The bible is flawless.

Nothing in the bible contradicts present-day scientific beliefs.

Jews and Christians have the same God. Muslims don't.

God must be eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. Otherwise we'd have no heaven or hell. And we'd have no eternal consequences.

People must be 'turn the other cheek'. Otherwise the world would be full of evils and people trying to get even.

All the bad things in the world... have an opposite. The bad things in the world give good things meaning. Otherwise... we'd live in a completely indifferent, gray society; We'd be robots.

Love - Hate
Life - Death
Joy - Suffering
Sacrifice - Suicide
Loyalty - Disloyalty
Good - Evil

If everyone loved everyone... then it would have no meaning, it would not be special.

Without death, life would not be beautiful. It would be an indifferent existance.

Without suffering, joy would be a constant indifferent feeling...

All human actions are based on punishment, and reward. Whether that reward is tangible, or heaven, or that 'warm little feeling' inside.

There are many people who call themselves Christians. I would rather only be associated with TRUE Christians.

Whatever created this universe, in a scientific sense, has a truly unlimited, and omnipotent power, whatever created this universe has the power to think, to create, to be self aware. Logic tells me there's a God.

The bible never endorses slavery, it condones it at most.

The bible says things against torture.

Some say homosexuality is not a choice... if sexual orientation isn't a choice, then being sexually attracted to animals is not a choice.

Whether or not its a choice, being attracted to animals is not right, neither is homosexuality.
