Paganism is older than at least 50000 years, and it is ever-changing and ever ameliorating. Christianity is a corruption on the spiritual-scientific ideas and ideals of paganism. The rituals that we stigmatize it by today are though about 4000 years old, and they changed at the Viking Age and many times before, only to become more accurate to the meaning of life.

As the leaves turn to rust in the crimson decay of autumn

The night falls and the sound of the rain mesmerizes my being
I close my eyes and get taken back into another era
the fire burns through the night and as the sun rises
I awaken to the sounds of battle
The ravens circle the fallen
the dead cannot be mourned
as the blood is still slowing
the stench of death intoxicates my nostrils
steel against steel in a time of honor
this is where my heart belongs
