Most of my family are artists of one kind or another: potters, painters, musicians, etc--but, in most cases, art's a sideline. My (surviving) bro, a guitarist, has a doctorate in philosophy (UCLA), but he works for Honda. Or is it Toyota? Not sure. Love his kids. Love graphics, making music, making movies. Haven't done a lot of the latter in recent years. Which reminds me: Why are women nuts? Well, not all of 'em, I guess. Love to take pics with my Nikon 70, which has seen better days. I dropped it on a boulder a month ago. I think that improved it. Hey to Kris and Kathie.

Movies:

Um, I love history, and I love old movies, but not indiscriminately. I love M (1931), stuff like that. Newer movies too. Dead Man is great. Love lots of music, but again, not indiscriminately. Into early country blues: Charley Patton, Robert Johnson, King Solomon Hill, et al. Love punk, but not all of it of course. Love White Stripes, at least for now. Big Velvet Underground fan. Also: Big Star, Alex Chilton, Neil Young (when he isn't shitty), et al.

Books:

I can't read, but if I could, I'd read such books as, Dos Passos' USA trilogy. Love F. Scott Fitzgerald. I'm pretty spotty about what I read. I listen to lots of nonfiction while I drive--books on CD, that sort of thing.
