San Diego native Chris Klich plays sax, clarinet and flute, and has been performing since 1979. Since 2002, his group, the Chris Klich Jazz Quintet, has performed hundreds of corporate events, weddings, parties, and club gigs, and is one of the most in-demand bands in San Diego. Chris has also performed with many other great bands, including Candye Kane and the Swingin' Armadillos, Tobacco Road, The Mar Dels, and The Rhythm Method. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Performance at University of California, San Diego in 1983, and a Master's Degree in Jazz Studies at San Diego State University in 2005. He teaches Jazz Studies at Grossmont College, and gives private lessons, as well. His wife, Laura Preble, is a gifted vocalist, songwriter (the CD "Voices In My Head") and novelist ("Queen Geek Social Club"), and teaches high school English. They have two sons.
