Knowing Christ
This is an evangelism / gospel video put together and distributed locally by my church, last year. I'm placing it on YouTube with permission, though I had originally intended to put this up much earlier! I hope that it will benefit many, here. ...

"...Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory." - 2 Timothy 2:10
About Me:

I am a Christian. I am a human being born into sin like every man and woman on this earth, fully deserving of God's judgment and eternal wrath, but that wrath was poured out on the Lord Jesus Christ so that I would instead be the recipient of God's glorious grace. Such grace cannot be earned, for man can do nothing to earn it. Therefore it is given by God to all who, through regeneration, repent and believe in Jesus Christ.

I grew up in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh, and I received new life in late summer, 2006, Presently, I am attending Christ Reformed Baptist Church in the area of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I am now living and serving in Waukesha, WI.

Denominationally, I am a confessional Reformed Baptist. Doctrinally, I am trinitarian, calvinistic, Credo-Baptistic, amillenial, cessational, complementarian, theologically covenant, worshipfully regulative. I believe in the five solas, that man is saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God alone, and the scripture alone dictates God's specific revelation of all truths concerning the salvation of man and the life of the church. I hold to the view on sanctification modernly called "Lordship," that man has one nature and one heart and it is one regenerated by the Holy Spirit, and that God will finish the work He starts in a Christian, bearing through him good fruit and never returning him to a life of unrepentant sin. More extensively, my doctrinal statement is the London Baptist confession of 1689.

In all of this, I believe in the authority of Scripture and not the words of man. My doctrinal conclusions have come from deeply examining scripture. Some have interpreted the words of the Bible to mean other things, and so such titles become necessary within the church. Even so, I understand that they sometimes cause confusion, so don't be afraid to drop me a line if you have any questions!

Grace and Peace,
Heather

I wouldn't think you'd get real life and a game mixed up! Though after a few days of playing DA, I forget which is real. (Especially if I play all night. o.o) So it's all good. You should play Origins, though. I prefer DA:2, myself, but Origins is..well, the Origins. I haven't played through Awakening, so I can't advise playing it, but DA:2 is my personal favorite in the series. :D

thanks for the response, i undertsand where ur coming from. I have often struggled with the definition of repentance, because it seems like a thin line between works salvation and genuine repentance, although I feel like I do understand it, sometimes I struggle with it.

I'm curious about your remark about saved ppl not having unrepentant sin. Have you ever willfully sinned since you were saved?

Hello Heather~I was very impressed with your lovely whistle playing! How long did you take lessons? I also loved reading your "about me" section! It is such an encouragement to read of sweet young ladies who hold stronly to orthodox theology! I also happen to be a "Reformed Baptist" ((though some argue that is a contradiction in terms as there have been churches holding to Baptist distinctives (believer's baptism by immersion, autonomy of the local church, a regenerate church membership, 2 ordinances (vs. "sacraments" as in Catholicism), and the separation of church and state since the 1st century...)) I am currently 2X your age :0) and am married with 3 kids (5, 7, and 9 years) whom we teach at home here in Gilroy, CA... May God continue to bless and guide you! ~Laurie D. (P.S. I love the Trinity Hymnal too! Do you have a Gadsby Hymnal? It is another wonderful one)...
