The driver did a good job. Don't see a reason to complain here. It is a bit odd to see the trailer in the ditch as there seems to be no necessity to take a narrow turn. But who knows if the right lane was blocked by cars going onto the major road at the time he had to make the turn.

The X5 was stuck. The Pathfinder could have been driven out there by an experienced driver without major problems. On Sand you don't really need LSD rearend as sand (desert/beach) has always the same traction, not like mud or rock where traction on one side of the axle can be better/wo...

can't speak for american companys but over here in germany most companys will not equip the buses with diff locks because only very experienced drivers can handle a bus with two rear wheels spinning, what mostly results in sliding sideways. So they see it as a safety measure.......

There is no e-brake as someone suggested. Would not make much sense with a (diff-locked) rwd anyway. There is no or little payload and esp turned off. The long wheelbase makes it a little easier to handle...
