I write fiction, news, features and opinion.

My first novel, Drive-by Saviours, will be released in Fall 2010 by Roseway Publishing. The judges in the Atlantic Writing Competition called Drive-by Saviours "well written with fully realized characters, an engrossing plot, strong voices and emotional power."

I am also a journalist. I write the weekly Sustainable City column for The Coast. In 2006/2007 I worked as a journalist in Ghana.

I am currently working on my first book of nonfiction, Green Soul: a tour through the lives of
Atlantic Canada's sustainable trailblazers, which will be published by Nimbus in Fall 2011.

I have lived and worked in Toronto, British Columbia, St. Lucia, Finland, Indonesia, and Ghana. My current home is Halifax, where I live with my wife and son in a house owned by two cats, Bosh and Moon.
