I was the Green Party candidate for US Senate from Tennessee in 2008 and 2006. I ran for office primarily as a peace activist to work to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. . I am currently involved in activist projects based out of Oregon including being on the ballot as the Green Party candidate this year (2010) for Oregon's 5th Congressional District. I am also involved in community media and anti-war activisism and support work to bring together the progressive community generally statewide and nationally through dialogue and community building where possible.

Interests
I am interested in the immediate cessation of all activities in Iraq and Afghanistan which involve American troops as well as the immediate withdrawal of American troops from Kuwait, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan.
I support the closing of all American Military bases in the Middle East and restitution to the victims of warfor the damage that we have done to their lives and community infrastructure.
I support the establishment of a federal fund to address the ongoing damage depleted uranium will cause to future generations of Arabs as well as long term health care dollars going to American GI's who will also inevitably suffer from the affects of exposure to depleted uranium.
