So you are saying the Osiris, Horus and Mithra myths are younger than your Jesus? If so how would you date these?
Hey, people's ignorance as well as their insanity level has virtually no limit :) Of course you will find that many people regard Atheism as a religion. Many religious people use it as polemic against Atheist, doesn't mean that they are right. Also, in the US Atheism is protected by law like a religion, it still doesn't mean it is one and of course you need to list atheism in statistics about religion. That said, neither your nor my definition of atheism would make atheism a religion.
Jeder erschlage seinen Bruder, seinen Freund [...]. Die Leviten taten, was Mose gesagt hatte". Was läuft hier?
I had to laugh hard at the "Are you a Christian" question. This way in 2000, who would have thought... :)
lol @ the fake atheist in the end. I mean how stupid are Hovind's followers to believe this shit?
Wahrscheinlich sollte man Blochers Dissertation auch ein bischen genauer unter die Lupe nehmen wenn man so hört was seine Kriterien für eine gute Dissertation sind.
What you mean is known as a "hypothesis" in science. The word "theory" is a homonym. The word does not have the same meaning in science than it has in colloquial language. A scientific theory is a "well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world based on a body of knowledge that has been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experiment". So if you write "it's just a theory" you immediately put yourself in the idiot category for every reader with proper education.
One of the most idiotic callers ever.
Matt was only talking about Jesus not changing the rules, not about his position on acting upon them. It is you who follows that they should be acted upon and that's your strawman. Matt's position is that the rules are so abhorrent that Jesus would have corrected them if he existed and was truley good: slavery, genocide, rape and killing are among these rules. That said: "It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid."
