I would have been terrified that either the building would colapse or that it would be overtopped by all that water. I'm still sad for all of the victims of this tsunami, just as I am for the victims killed in the tsunami which killed so many in Thailand and places from there to Africa a few year...

I'm getting real tired of new versions of Windows coming out every 6 months or so. It's a pain in the rump, not to mention the pocketbook. These are minor incrimental changes dressed up to look like a major advance. I think Win7 will be my last OS purchase. In fact, I may just go back to Win XP S...

Exciting new operating system? Terrifying is more like it. I'm paralyzed from the shoulders down, so a touch screen system is going to do me a lot of good. I'm going to wait for Windoze 37 which is due out Q2 2012. It will use a nerual implant into the brain as an interface, and will send your th...

Just your ordinary everyday gimp. There's nothing particularly outstanding about me, but the government keeps me alive anyway by keeping me on Medicaid, Medicare, and food stamps (Thank you all of you who pay your Federal taxes!!! I really and honestly DO appreciate it!!! I wouldn't be able to afford the medicines that keep me alive if it were not for you. You have NO idea how grateful I am for what you have done for me).I also want to thank anyone who might be reading here who has served or is serving in our armed services. Because you were willing to give of your time, and if necessary of your body or even life, I am free. There is no greater gift you could have given me, and for it I am forever grateful. I thank you, my brothers and sisters at arms, from the very centre of my being.
About me. I'm not much. I never have been. I've done nothing of note. I got married and adopted a baby boy. Everything in our lives were a dream for years, but in 2000 things started going bad. In 2000 my husband died of mesothelioma (lung cancer from asbestos). In 2001 my brother committed suicide. In 2002 my sister died of astrocytoma (brain cancer). In 2003 my son was deployed to Iraq. a few months later I was recalled to active duty and was also deployed there. A couple of weeks after I arrived in country my son was killed in action. Talk about a bad place to get the visit... In 2004 my father died of medical mal-practice. My mother died of a massive stroke a week later. Three years after that I caught one in the back of the neck. It destroyed my C4 vertibra and severed my spinal cord. Both the Jihadi and the grim reaper failed though. I'm still alive! Now the blue star mom who is also a purple heart vet Is all alone. No living family. No friends. No money (but no debts!!!). Just me and this computer. Life is good though, in ways that most people will never understand or know.
What I don't understand is why when people are so close to the aliens, they don't invite them over for supper, or at least drinks. I'd have a jillion questions to ask, and since they bothered to come all this way I am sure they'd have plenty of questions to ask me as well. Why can't one of thes...
