Doctor McCollum became interested in chiropractic after 10 years of suffering from a broken back.
At age ten, while watching a Cal-Stanford football game on the Berkeley Campus, he fell thirty feet from a pine tree when the branch that supported him broke.
He lived in pain until 1975 when a doctor of chiropractic treated him and, for the first time in over a decade, he was out of pain. The chiropractic doctor was able to give back to him something that the medical community had not been able to do in the past 11 years.
