This was only a matter of time. It's also a matter of time before they shut me down completely. I am, after all, in all sorts of violation. It's my intention to keep going as long as they let me, so enjoy the videos while you can.....

I've had a number of people ask me if I'm a member of any of the groups whose videos I post. The short answer is no - I'm just a geek with a camera who loves a cappella.

The long answer is too long for here, but if you care to, check out my MySpace blog's first post (way back on October 12, 2006 - URL under "My Website" at the bottom of this section) for a brief overview of some of my background. If you care to, subscribe to that blog - it's my plan to keep updating it as long as I have new things to say.

People have been asking me the "who are you" kinds of question even since I posted the above, but I decided a while ago that my LiveJournal was the place for queries like that. So rather than pretend nobody's curious and leave the questions unanswered, I've put up an LJ entry that will act as a sort of Live FAQ - feel free to check it out and/or add a question of your very own over here:

2008-04-26 SOLTrain

The 2nd annual "SOLTrain" concert on April 26, 2008 at CSUN's Noski Auditorium, featuring CSUN Acasola, CalTech Fluid Dynamics, UCLA Signature A Cappella and USC Sirens. This year's SolTrain theme was "The 90s."

2007-02-09 Absolut A Cappella

USC Sirens' annual competition, held at USC's Bovard Auditorium. The USC "SoCal VoCals" won the vodka in 2007, beating the 2006 champions, USC's "Trojan Men."

The Trojan Men's performance has been omitted at the group's request. The following day, they used the same set at the ICCA Quarterfinals - if you would like to see it, feel free to find the songs in that playlist.

For historical value, this is the first set of videos in which I knew I could upload in higher quality. Everything I upload after today (5/14/08) will be that way, and most stuff I did before today will not be updated.

And before you say so, let me preamble this with a yes, the videos are way overexposed. This was an early recording experience for me, and I've gotten better at setting the camera's aperture since then. Sorry about that...
