Welcome to Loyola University Chicago School of Law's Civitas ChildLaw Center on Youtube!
Our mission is to promote justice for children through interdisciplinary teaching, scholarship and service, and through the development of a new legal specialty, pediatric law.
The ChildLaw Center was established in 1993 through the vision and generosity of Jeffrey Jacobs, a Loyola Law School alumnus and the founder of the Civitas Initiative. The Center was the first law school program to integrate a traditional law school curriculum with a specialized three-year course of study in pediatric law for Juris Doctor (J.D.) candidates.
Today, graduates of Loyola's ChildLaw Program work in a broad and geographically diverse range of settings, serving the legal needs of children across the country.
