Founded in 1931, the Music Institute of Chicago (MIC) is an exceptional community music school with a national reputation. MIC's mission is to provide a foundation for lifelong enjoyment of music by offering the highest quality music education for students of all ability levels, from four months to 100 years of age. Each year our world-class teachers and arts therapists provide first-rate instruction to more than 4,000 students. In addition to campuses in Evanston, Highland Park, Lincolnshire, and Winnetka, MIC serves more than 6,000 children through outreach partnerships with the Chicago Public Schools.
