I feel honored and privileged to have been twice elected to my current office representing the residents of the Fourth District on the California State Board of Equalization. Since I took office in 1997, I have been working on a number of issues important to our great State and to all Californians. More importantly, I have seen how an elected office, even one as relatively obscure as the BOE, can directly impact the individual lives of the community it serves. I want to continue the good work I have started at the State Board of Equalization and help build and foster the relationship between Californians and their government.
