I kinda doubt that you got to 20 percent. I bought a gallon of 27% at a local pool chemical store and when I add manganese dioxide to it the result is a huge steam cloud and boiling temperature water left behind. Also if I heat the hydrogen peroxide much at all there is significant decomposition...

It looks like you only did one extraction with the methylene chloride on that coffee liquor. If you did 3-4 extractions I'm sure you would get a higher yield of caffeine. You don't even have to used much more methylene chloride, but if you only do one extraction the caffeine solubility will reac...
