EL CHEF AVENTURERO: Eduardo Wichtendahl Palazuelo is making a name in the Latin culinary world with his innovative Mex-Thai cuisine -- a fusion of Mexican and Thai cooking. Educated in Glion, Switzerland and Cornell University, Eduardo is the Owner and Executive Chef of famed Zibu restaurant in Acapulco. His creative gastronomic talent was recognized when he received from Mexican President Felipe Calderon -- the national award for restaurant merit (provided by the National Restaurant Association of Mexico CANIRAC) in the category of Innovation.
DIRECTOR JOEL JUAREZ
Joel recently produced and directed his feature film debut and is in preproduction on his second feature length film. He is also directing music videos and commercials for US and Mexican production companies. He has established himself among the new filmmakers after graduating from the prestigious UCLA School of Film & TV where he earned an MFA in Directing. Joel is a prolific filmmaker, his films have aired on Showtime Networks. Discovery Channel, MTV, PBS, Univision, TV Azteca America, and was awarded two DGA Awards and the coveted UCLA Spotlight Award. 2010 greets Joel with an invitation to be part of the DGA Latino Mentorship Program.
