A letter to all:
As most of you know I am a recently born again follower of Jesus Christ. I write to you to tell you, warn you, rather of the things God has been showing me. I know I know, God talks to YOU? you are probably asking. Well, yes he does. He is also speaking to you right now, whether you hear Him or not is up to you. First of all, are you seeking Him? Do you wake up every morning and long for nothing but His presence, His love, His mercy, His guidance, His wisdom......... ? If not, then you will probably not hear Him, unless He has to knock you over the head to get your attention. (Trust me you don't want to let it go that far!) So what is God saying to you right now. Well probably the same things He says to alot of people. I would imagine Him holding out His arms saying, " Come to me, all who are weary and heavy burdened, and I will give you rest" Why is it that most people, unless there is some crisis, pretty much ignore God until they think they need Him? Well I will tell you now that YOU NEED HIM!. Jesus said unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. He said if you believe in Him you will have everlasting life. He said If you love Him you will keep His commandments. He also warned of eternal separation from God for unrepentant sinners. Do you think He warned us to scare us? He warned us because He loves us! He does not desire that anyone perish but for all to be saved. Jesus did not come into the world to condemn it, but to save it. HE IS OUR ONLY HOPE OF SALVATION AND ETERNAL LIFE!! But why, you may ask? I just can't understand it all. God did not ask you to understand everything, He just asked you to TRUST HIM! Just as a father warns his child of the dangers of crossing the road alone, even thought the child does not understand the full consequences of it, so our father also warns us of the danger of living (or dying) without knowing Jesus Christ as our PERSONAL Lord and Savior. He is our only salvation. He is the way, the truth, and the life!! So I urge you to seek Him now, don't wait, because death does not always come slowly, it may happen in an instant, leaving you standing in front of God without the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ. It would not be a good day for you. So why not ask Christ into your Heart right now, by praying this prayer out loud and from your heart:
Lord Jesus Christ, I admit I am a sinner, in need of your forgiveness
I repent of all sin in my life and hand it over to You.
I believe you died on the cross and rose again on the third day,
and that you are the atoning sacrifice for my sins.
I believe in my heart that you are the son of God,
and on this day, I ask you into my heart, to live in me
Lord Jesus, make me the person you want me to be.
Amen.
If you prayed this prayer from your heart and meant it, congratulations!. Welcome to the family of God. You are born again in the spirit, because you trusted God and asked His Son into your life. As you go about each day, God will reveal Himself to you more and more. The scripture says the Holy Spirit will teach you all things. Ask God to give you a heart for Him. Spend time reading the Gospel, perhaps with the book of John first. Jesus loves you and wants you to spend eternity with Him. Be blessed in Christ.
