Charli Hunt is an independent artist who has worked not only as a side-woman across genres, but also on-stage and in-studio with international and national musicians. She has performed with Afro-Cuban salsa-tinged rockers covering many popular tunes including classic Santana, along with toe-tapping original music; with an improvisational 'acid jazz collective' on various stages; with an international reggae artist at the Africa Unite concert -- part of a month long celebration of Bob Marley's 60th Anniversary in early 2005; with various afro-caribbean, and East Africa-based music ensembles; as well as with the acclaimed Ken Arlen Music Consultancy. Other credits include back-up vocalist work for Nervous Records dance music recording artist Kim English; for a well-known British Soul artist; televised performances with other various artists; performances at the legendary Wild Hare club; as well as jazz sets at the Green Dolphin Street jazz club, and other Indie-Experimental explorations.

Due in part to a succession of festival and society gigs, she has gained the appreciation and admiration of many. In short, Charli Hunt (Pronounced 'Charlie') has maintained a reputation for being versatile.

Talk to fellow musicians and they'll tell you stories of live moments. One colleague comments, "I've never seen people react to a singer quite the way they do" with her. "They want to come up and just touch her or grab hands... whatever. They really get into it... It's nuts!" Another says that she "brings amazing harmony to the ensemble. " Still others comment "she sings like an angel" while injecting "that energy" the band needs... Her soul is infectious..."

Now, stepping to the forefront of new music with songs to get the blood & brain flowing, Charli invokes shades of Lauryn Hill, Estelle, Alicia Keys, Bob Marley, Steel Pulse, a dash of Natalie Merchant, and so much more. The new songs are quite eclectic but speak to one universal truth; That Love is what makes the world go around. This simple idea, along with her tag-line ("Peace, Love, Unity"), seems to be this artists raison d'être, as she continues to spread a message filled with positivity. The songs are a journey through emotion and thought.
