About this user
I only have two videos right now. (3d coming soon) but too many people asked me how edit the bad words in television shows when I said I'd show them. I thought only llike 2 people a month would actaully ask but its more like 2 a day. So it's getting hard tying all instuctions how to do it. I bet some people are wondering why I haven't gotten back to them. It's cause I'm busy. Well here are the instructions how to do it on Mac and Windows.
Mac Instructions: 1st you're going to download Screenium. Just type in screenium download on google and it'll come up. Download it. It's not free, you have to pay for the serial code. But scince I'ma tell you the code it's free...1141-2792-9956-9804-802 4. Ok now you've got it registered. Go on playlist (dot) com. Search for a song you know with curse words in it. Record the audio of that part of the song. export the audio file from screenium. (If you can't do that, I can't help you) Do this until you have as many bad words as you want/need. 20s a good number. Now go on google again and type in limewire, download it. It'll come up easily. When you've installed limewire type in the name of the show you want to edit. it'll let you download the epicode you click on. Wait about 20 minutes for it to finish then Open up iMovie. (it's on every Mac) Click on 'file > import' then click on your show that your gonna edit. wait about 11 minutes for that to finish. Then just play through your episode, pause at parts where you are gonna edit in a curse word. To do that click 'file > import' then your audio curse word you wanna put in. The audio will appear on the timeline where you paused. it will be below the video of your show. This audio file will sound over your video so just mute out that part of the video by clicking on the video timeline and drag the sound down during the seconds you want edited. (ex. 2:33-2:41) Now you have your first sound and you know how to do it. Just do this for the whole episode. You may have to edit it so it's < 10 minutes. When you're done export it obviously. Click 'file > share(export)' and select the settings you want to export it on. I use 'Quicktime > CD Rom'. And you're done. Not that it will be easy. It'll be hard, and I'm positive most of you won't do it all the way. But good luck to you.
Mac Notes: IF YOU FORGOT YOUR MAC PASSWORD YOU CAN'T DOWNLOAD SCREENIUM OR LIMEWIRE, SO HERE'S WHAT YOU DO. RESTART YOUR COMPUTER BUT HOLD 'APPLE S' THE WHOLE TIME. THIS WILL PUT YOU IN SINGLE USER MODE. THEN TYPE:
#sh /etc/rc
#passwd yourusername
#reboot
THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO RESET YOUR PASSWORD... lucky you, I gave you the WHOLE package.
ALSO SAVE FREAkQUIENTLY BY PRESSING 'APPLE S' WHILE IN iMOVIE.
Windows Instructions: Go on google type in Camtasia Studio 5. It's not free also so here's the serial number 3vfb8-c9ccb-9cc2v-6ygxx-f2a3e ok download it, put in that serial number now you've got it free. Play around ono that a litle. Now record Bad words from any music you want (it don't have to be music). yo can go on playlist (dot) com and they have like every song just for listening though, not download. so use Camtasia Studio to record the audio or bad words from your songs. you should get about 14-25. Now download Limewire if you don't allready have it. just type it in on google it'll come up. Once you have it installed just type in the name of the TV show you're gonna edit. Click on the episode you want and it will download it. now just open up Windows Movie Maker and go to 'file > import' click on your video or TV show you want. Then just do the same thing, just with all of your sounds. Once you have al your sounds in their your gonna just watch through your Show until you want to edit something out. To do that, just mute out the sound of the original video, and put the curse word over the muted area of the timeline, and the curse word will play over it instead of having both audios playing at the same time. (like a guy talking while the curse word is being said). You do that though out the whole video and your done. then save, export it. It's pretty hard though. I would congratulate any who actually started making a series of edits because it's hard work.
Windows Notes: SAVE AFTER EVERY EDIT, JUST DO THIS BY PRESSING CONTROL AND S.
You can PM me again to ask a question allthough I thought this was pretty clear.
