Final Fantasy 7 Low Level Game
This is just the bosses from my Final Fantasy 7 Low Level Game, done is a similar method to my other Low Level videos.
For more Low Level Games, check out my channel. I have Final Fantasy 6, Super Mario RPG, Wild Arms, Chrono Trigger, and more!
Low Level Game Let's Play: Final Fantasy 7
Someone suggested I record my next game as a Let's Play, so this is my attempt at doing so. I don't know if I'm any good at doing this, but I try to make it as enjoyable as possible. If you have any recommendations or feedback, let me know! I'm always open to suggestions. Note that this is a Low Level Game Let's Play, meaning I purposefully keep my characters at a very low level.
Wild Arms Low Level Game
Wild Arms Low Level Game. These are all sped up boss fights of my playthrough in Wild Arms. To my knowledge, a Low Level Game has never been attempted with this game, and this will be a first at least to my knowledge. The game rules are as follows: Forgetfulness must be on during all bosses starting right after you get the boat (due to forgetfulness only being available from one monster prior to this, and it's a random status infliction). Next, you are allowed to use the 255 item glitch in order to *make money only* and ONLY during the fair and when you have access to forgetfulness, and this is only because infinite sources of cash are available starting from the fair (as you can win prizes greater than the amount you pay for them). Afterwards, you can kill and farm as much money as you want from enemies with forgetfulness on. Furthermore you can always make money through Trickster. After you get access to the Outer Sea, you are allowed to battle Medea for Goat Dolls (so long as no one gains Experience) which are basically required if you want to beat the game. The latter half of the game is just severe abuse of Goat Dolls, but I'm at level 13, so it all evens out.
Dragon Age Origins Low Level Game Nightmare
Dragon Age Origins Low Level Nightmare Playthrough: This details my adventure through the game as I attempt to take on the game in Nightmare at a low level.
Super Mario RPG Low Level Game
My second Low Level Game to be uploaded to youtube. This is done with Super Mario RPG: Legends of the 7 Stars.
The only rule for this Low Level Game is not to gain unnecessary experience (to keep your characters at the minimum level possible).
The ending levels are as follows:
Mario (Level 3)
Mallow (Level 4)
Geno (Level 5)
Boswer (Level 8)
Princess Peach (Level 9)
There are no armor, weapon and item limitations (unlike FF6 where you're not allowed to throw rods).
Again, no boss battles' fights use save states in order to defeat them, albeit I do save state to assure I lose the "Chance" game (so I don't have to repeat boss battles).
So all you see is unedited battle possible on the catridge version!
Breath of Fire III Low Level Game
Breath of Fire III LLG:
Levels at the end should have everyone at 21.
The following restrictions were placed on the game:
-No spamming Manly Clothes
-No monopolize/death trick to avoid XP
-No copying Hourglass
Zelda Ocarina of Time 3 Heart Challenge
A Zelda: OOT 3 Heart Challenge.
This means I must go through the ENTIRE game with 3 Hearts. I recorded most the bosses, albeit you'd have to be an idiot not to be able to kill some mid bosses, even with 3 hearts.
The following restrictions have been placed:
-Only allowed to have 3 Heart Containers
-Not allowed to pick up any Heart Pieces
-Not allowed to use restorative items in a boss/midboss battle.
-Not allowed to pick up Iron Hearts.
-Not allowed to pick up anything but hearts that drop during a battle (most the time late game bosses take off 3 hearts at a time so this doesn't even matter.)
Chrono Trigger Low Level Game
My fourth Low Level Game. This game details the boss fights in hopes it may serve as a visual walkthrough to other players. One thing to note about Chrono Trigger's LLGs: They're long, very long. Most of the other games could (mostly) fits very nicely into one video, most of these videos, on the other hand, are 7+ minutes long.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy my neverending struggle to get my butt handed to me.
Update! Completed 5/11/09
Final Fantasy X NSG NS NI Challenge
Game rules:
No use of Sphere Grid (NSG)
No use of the Item command (NI)
No use of the summon command unless required (Against Isaryuu for example)
Paper Mario Low Level Game
Paper Mario Level 1/No items game.
Eventually, due to Badge Points maxing out at 30, I have to switch over to putting my levels into FP. My FP goes up to I think 30, but at no time do I use more than 5 FP. If you notice a part where I use more than 5 FP (without restoring it, of course) let me know.
Restrictions: Not to use more than 3 badge points. The exception here is you can use Peekaboo. I chose to use it to make the battles easier to follow and the strategies may become more apparent. Since it's just as easy to do on paper, I don't see this as cheating.
You are not allowed to use any items in combat (the exception is the last boss, which couldn't be beaten otherwise with anything but sheer luck) and you are not allowed to upgrade partners, at all.
Xenosaga Ep. 1 Low Level Game
This details the boss fights from Xenosaga Ep. 1. As far as I'm concerned, there isn't one completed to date, and there certainly aren't any guides out there to the best of my knowledge.
This will be delving into unknown territory, for sure.
Update: Completed 5/2/09
Perhaps I should write a guide, seeing as there aren't any available?
Final Fantasy 6 Low Level Game
This details a Final Fantasy 6 Low Level Game's progression as completed by me. The average level is 7.33 at the end (which is the lowest possible without using a cheating device or abusing a bug). There are a few rules I used:
1) Any fight that can be avoided that gives Exp. must be avoided.
2) No bugs are allowed to be used (Psycho Cyan's killing bug, sketch bug, invisible enemy bugs)
3) No *purchased* rods may be thrown. Any rods you seen thrown are from treasure chests.
Finally, you'll notice I tend not to use Strago as I wanted to make things a little more difficult on myself and Strago's step mine is a little overpowered, although if you do ever play an LLG he is very much a strong party member.
I hope you enjoy all the boss battles :)
The later ones tend to have the best quality (as I taught myself how to record and compress videos as I went along)
