My stance on general gymnastics and its community:

I don't stand by one team and support only them and be biased to them and be oblivious to everyone else. I like watching gymnastics performances, no matter by what person of what country, if it's good, it's good, and I'll like it. In general, I like watching gymnasts of developing nations, or new sprouting gymnasts that have just become seniors grow into stars and be successful for their country, especially if their country is new to the sport.

I'm not one of those types that'll support one athlete because of what country they're from, or what style of gymnastics they perform. I like gymnastics in the spirit of the sport itself, and not just about winning (like watching the sport only to see my favorite win and nothing else, yeah, I don't do that.)

However, I have never been a gymnast, though I have been watching gymnastics since 2000, with the first gymnast I've watched be Simona Amanar perform to her folk music.

To me, artistry is poetic, though grace and beauty is not the single and only form of artistry, I can tell when something is not artistic as well and I won't like it. That said, I look more to the dance, choreography, expression, and interpretation of personality or theme in women's gymnastics, before the tumbling. Of course, the tumbling can be great, but I'll only look at it first if it is innovative, new, and done cleanly.

So now you know what I want to see in women's gymnastics in general. As for the men, innovation and performance aspect can be even greater than it always seems to be for the women. Lately, most routines today are constructed the same and performed almost the same; all I can really look at is who can either tumble the highest or who can pack in the most in a very short line. Because of that, my favorite apparatus to watch is the men's vault.

Unlike women's vault, from observation, the potential for many different body types for the men creates a fairly even playing field, no matter which type of vault is performed. Handsprings, tsukaharas, yurchenkos, when the skills off the table are done similarly can be equally valued, unlike the women who always seem to do both types of yurchenko as their both vaults, or the straight yurchenko as their main. For the men, the potential for more body types can bring twisters as well as somersaulters from practically any approach to the board and be on a level playing field. In addition to that, it's the most exciting event for people who want to see the big power, or big spills, but is also often the most advanced and innovated between both men's and women's gymnastics.

Between men's and women's gymnastics, women's is obviously more popular for many reasons, some dubious. This can be a major or minor reason, I seriously don't know, although one reason can be that since women's gymnastics is mostly about underaged (by that, I mean under 18) girls, men may see them as...beyond gymnasts, and thus they are the ones viewed more often. Another reason is that women's gymnastics is often easier to understand, what with the dancing, and mostly tumbling for three of the four apparatus, as opposed to two of the men's six. That said, there aren't as many budding little would-be know-it-alls claiming to know so much about the sport in men's gym as opposed to women's, as it is much harder to understand as it is hardly watched.

I may have rambled and gone all over the place, but I've said everything I've wanted to say. Maybe now you might know what I think when I watch gymnastics.

Enjoy the videos.

Oh, I'd say I'm a biased stubborn worshipper, haha! It really annoys me how people are only open to certain things. In Beijing Shawn was in my top three. That's right. Shawn. And obviously I am in awe with Viktoria now! Honestly, I find you to be the funniest person on YouTube, haha! Your backgrounds are hysterical!

Thank you for that! So how do you export it into HD on youtube? Do you have to convert it first, then it just converts into HD automatically?

No problem, don't worry. I know, my computer could be faster too, it takes like almost 2 hours to upload a HD montage...

No problems... I was planning to make a montage of her, so I wish I could use your content. Would you let me do this?
