i saw this maybe a week after it opened on broadway and was lucky enough to have gotten one of the $25 front row seats. went in with little or no expectations as it had been a disappointing season for musicals, and was completely floored. love this musical and i hope to see it again someday

I live in New York City in midtown, so when I see old pictures or movies depicting old New York it's still hard to imagine there ever being a time where things were like that. Seeing everything in motion like this and seeing people going about there day just like any other is so surreal.

I'm usually not one for covers but i prefer Christina Aguilera's version. I didn't think it was possible for someone to embellish a song more than christina...and etta did...in a bad way.
