The first time I played CNZ2 as Knuckles I wasn't even aware I was sequence breaking. I always take that shortcut when playing as Sonic so I instinctively knew when to jump/glide with Knuckles.

Another glitch with the act 1 mini-boss music is that it isn't playing the Sonic 3 mini-boss theme in the first place. It's playing the Robotnik battle theme for some reason.

Yeah you could have made MS red but in my experience it doesn't seem to make any difference.
Also, if you get a random IM board then you can get red MS without having to move a single square around the board :)
