You are extremely lucky he turned red. If you kill the first half of him with a physical attack, he turns purple. You got lucky that it was the Ice2 that did the damage, or you would have been "Lost Blow-ed" to death.

@DK3790 You can't go past the numbers when you enter them. For instance, when entering 36, you cannot go past it to 37, and then go back. It won't work that way.

Using physical attacks makes him turn purple. Purple is so much harder than red at normal levels because of him using Lost Blow twice in one turn.

You should have made him turn red instead of purple. The red form is no treat either, but at least it doesn't use Lost Blow at all (let alone in twice in one turn). You can make it turn red by using magic to knock its HP below the halfway point.
