My mother had the soundtrack, and whenever I rode with her to her workplace, she would play this for me. I always begged her to play this song and "Seasons of Love' again. It took me a long time to understand the true meaning.

My friend and I tried out for chorus and did not make the cut. So, to defy the biased chorus teacher, we stood up during outside time and sang this song.
