If I'm having too much sustain from my Rumblekat it's probably from me holding the notes so long right? I just got it and the intonation is BAD! I may return it and just use my Squier.

Will the Allen Woody Rumblekat nail the McCartney Hofner tone? Do I need nylon tapewounds or flatwounds to get that sound?

I keep checking back for some real demo videos of the pickup and this percussive playing is really starting to get on my nerves! I want to hear the M80 recorded direct with the cam mic off so we only hear what the pickup sounds like played the way 99% of people will play it....strummed!

I agree completely. We at least need to hear the actual pickup being played not the guitar being played like a drum instead of a guitar. I'd like to hear the pickup recorded direct so we can actually hear IT and not the acoustic sound of the guitar. The cam mic off and the M80 recorded direct!!

Is the first part recorded with the cam mic picking up the actual sound of the guitar or is that the plugged in direct tone of the ibeam??

In a bad sounding room do you think the DPA 4099 is a better alternative to a good small diaphragm condenser like a KM184 or similar mic? Does the 4099 sound boomy on a dreadnaught without any eq?

How do you usually mic and mix acoustic guitar to get a good sound like this? If you only use one mic, where do you pan it in the mix so it fills both channels nicely? How important is stereo micing?
